The Healthy Way To Lose Weight

May 26, 2010 By: HappyDieting Category: Burn Fat or Carbs

Do you want to start a fitness program to get fit and trim. You can’t open any magazine without reading about the latest fad diet. Whether it is a low-carb, low-fat, or low-calorie they still require a person to put forth an effort. The reality is, diets are like fashions. Some work, some don’t. Any weight that is lost using these types of programs is not always permanent weight loss, it finds it way back onto a person’s body when the program is done.

Research has prevent that the weight that is lost using these fad plans will be partially or totally regained within the next twelve months. It has been proven over and over again that these diets are not successful in making the weight loss permanent over a long period of time. It is common for a person to have tried several of these diet plans to try to stay at a healthy weight. Message boards such as biggest loser weight loss forum have many stories of people who have tried every weight loss program that they could get their hands on and are still unable to keep the weight off.

There are many plans to help a person lose weight such as the one at http://www.fatlossfactor.com and people can investigate these plans to see if it could help them but for the most part it has been shown that diets alone don’t work. Restrictive diets are successful at helping a person jump start a diet. Yet for most people, one-third of this loss is muscle, not fat. Unfortunately that is not the weight that a person should lose. Studies show that each day, the body burns 2-3 calories per pound of fat — and 35-50 calories per pound of muscle. The more muscle mass your body has, the more calories you burn all day, even while you are sitting around studying or surfing the Internet.

What is the best method to get fit and trim? The best way to maintain or reach an ideal weight is to burn more calories than you take in. That means increasing activity and decreasing calorie intake even if that means doing a six pack ab exercise program before you go to be at night but if a person is serious and really wants to get healthy there are some other things that they must do.

A person should avoid a diet that only includes certain foods and does not give a person all of the nutrition that their body needs. You cannot keep your body running when you don’t give it everything that it requires. You can still enjoy some of your favorite foods, but don’t overdo it. Cutting junk food, sugary sodas, and sweet, undiluted fruit drinks out of your diet is an easy way to lose weight over time. Small changes in the way you eat can make a major impact over the course of the year. Making little adjustments can be simpler than making drastic adjustments. You can still enjoy some extravagant foods, but you need to make them the exception instead of the rule.

A person need to find only one third of an hour a day to devote to a fitness regimen to burn enough calories to lose weight. Just a short period of activity on a regular basis can make it possible for someone to lose weight and keep the weight off.
Portion control is also important when you’re trying to lose weight. One problem many overweight people have is that they underestimate how much they really eat. So stop super-sizing, and learn what a healthy portion looks like. It may also help to eat more frequently. Six small meals per day is one of the best approaches to eating. This is a well known way for a person to get fit and trim.

A person who is carrying some extra pounds need to find a way to correct it. The things that they do to shed the fat should be things that they will continue to do once the fat is gone. If you don’t change your lifestyle, the weight will return.
