Help, I’m 200 Pounds Overweight

I need some help. I now have to shop in the big men’s department at the clothing store. Society is not designed for larger people. My grocery bill is completely out of control. This has all been created because I weigh to much, but I have to change the way I look now. I’m just not sure how I can accomplish this daunting feat.

While sitting on the sofa one night, I saw a reality show about overweight people. I went online and found out that the show had a website that included a link to the biggest loser forum where there were all sorts of helpful hints, tools and chat rooms that are dedicated to helping people lose weight. It was great to be able to find out that there was support out there for me in my quest. Having the support of others would make it easier to lose the weight by myself. So I completed my first step by doing the research.

The next step was to come up with some actual numbers that I wanted to achieve in my weight loss journey. I couldn’t wait any longer to lose a lot of weight. I knew that I had to learn how to lose weight fastbecause my health was in danger and if I did not act quickly, I might not get another chance to succeed, and like the people on the show I had watched, I decided that I could lose more than ten pounds a week if I worked hard enough. I knew that I would have to dedicate myself to the chore, but I was up to challenge.

I could not achieve the results by myself, I knew that I wouldn’t succeed by doing a handful of six pack ab exercises in the comfort of my own home whenever I could find the time to do it, and I wanted some professional help. I got myself motivated and worked my way out to a fitness club. I signed up for a membership, and sought out their professional trainers to help me out. Some friends suggested that I go and get a physical before I started a fitness program. My doctor put me on a diet that would help me lose the weight. My personal trainer gave me an exercise plan to follow. I was on my way to a better lifestyle.

For the next few months I devoted my life to exercise, diet, and work. There was no time for anything else. All of the effort started to pay off. My waistline was shrinking. After four weeks I had lost a bunch of weight. For a short time, my weight loss stopped, and I was stick at the same weight for a couple of weeks. My physician let me know that this happens from time to time and it is nothing that I should be concerned about. I took the advice and kept working out. Eventually the pounds started to disappear again. My self image was back up again because I didn’t give up.

I have made a major impact on my life by making the decision to lose weight and have been very successful going from over four hundred pound to about two hundred and thirty pounds in under a year. It wasn’t always easy, but it was all worth it. My doctor told me that I am now healthier than I have been in over twenty years. Friends and family are awestruck at the amount of weight I have lost. I wake up in the morning with a smile on my face and a skip in my step because of how I feel. I don’t want to return to the way I was, but just dropping the pounds is not the thing I am most proud of. The best part has been the great feeling I have about myself. I could not get that for any amount of money.
