A heathly body fat percentage is a more important indicator than measuring your weight. If you are overweight and trying to get in better health, focusing on purely weight loss is less important than a good health percentage body fat.

If your trying to get heathly , you want to lose fat not muscle, right? After a week of exercising you may check the scale and see you’ve only lost a couple pounds and be dissapointed, but what may happened is that may have lost more fat than the scale shows you lost overall, but gained a couple pounds of muscle at the same time.

This is moving towards a heathly body fat percentage. When trying to get in better health, a combination of losing fat and gaining muscle is a great trend for your health. What is a heathly body fat percentage for you depends on several factors. A broader indicator for correct health body fat is males up to thirty to have between nine to fifteen percent.

Heathly men thirty to fifty should be between eleven and seventeen percent. Over fifty men should targeting twelve and nineteen percen for proper healtht.

A good womens health percentage body fat is higher for each age bracket. Women up to thirty should be between fourteen and twenty one percent to be heathly.

Thirty to fifty aged women should be shooting for fifteen to twenty three percent for a heathly body fat percentage. And women over fifty should be in the range sixteen and twenty five percent for proper healthy body fat percentages. It is so important to focus on body fat percentage over weight when trying to get heathly.

Athletes also have different target body fat percentages to be heathly.

Constant running sports ranges for a good health percentage body fat is different than what heathly for someone playing a sport like golf.

Proper nutrition is essential to living a healthy life as well as exercise to start getting heathly. There are serious risks with obesity, so getting into a range of healthy body fat is key. You’ll feel better when you are heathly
