Want To Remove Stretchmarks? Which Treatment Is Effective?
For the most part, the skin is extremely elastic.
People can change body shape, growing and gaining or losing a tremendous amount of weight without any problem normally. Sometimes, however, there are difficulties. If weight is gained rapidly, if the skin is stretched beyond a certain point, or the person just has less elastic skin than normal, stretch marks can form.
Stretch mark treatment is becoming a much more popular option than ever before. Up until recently, stretch marks removal wasn’t even an option.
There was no really good surgical technique for it, and there was no topical stretch mark treatment that worked. In recent years, however, things have improved quite a bit.
Recently, I wanted to remove stretch marks. You see, over the years my body has changed shape and size a lot. I have had serious trouble with weight control.
Over the years, as a matter of fact, my weight has fluctuated between 150 pounds and about 220 pounds. As you can imagine, all those changes have taken a toll on the elasticity of my skin. When skin elasticity breaks down, the skin get stretch marks.
Although they are not generally painful, they can be quite unsightly. In my case, I felt downright unattractive because of them. I sought out removing stretch marks because I couldn’t feel confident in front of someone of the opposite sex.
With the ugly stretch marks on my stomach, back and sides, I felt like I was ugly and out of shape even when I was fit as a fiddle.
I tried a lot of different stretch mark removal techniques with varying results. Removing stretch marks is by no means a science. Some of the stretch mark creams work better than others, but none of them quite did it for me.
Don’t get me wrong – they improved things dramatically. The smaller stretch marks – the ones at my back – cleared up with application of one of the creams in a few weeks. The ones on my stomach, however, were persistent.
Eventually, I got sick of trying unsuccessful lotions. I had no idea how to remove stretchmarks until one of my friend suggested surgery. He had had some of the worst stretch marks I had seen, and stretch mark surgery had worked very well for him.
They were barely visible at all after a few visits. Although cost a good bit more than the cream, it also worked better. Laser stretch mark treatment is really a miracle, if you ask me.
